Recruitment & transfers
Manage signings, contract extensions and departures as deals, from first contact to a signed contract.
Recruitment & transfers is a module. It only appears when it is part of the club's plan and the member's role has access to it. See Modules and Roles and permissions.
Recruitment & transfers brings every player movement into one place: who the club wants to sign, which contracts it wants to extend and which players are leaving. Each of these is a deal that moves through stages until it is signed, completed or lost.
Deals and directions
A deal is always about one player and has one of three directions:
| Direction | What it covers | Deal types |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming | Signing a player from outside the squad | Transfer, Loan, Free agent, Pre-contract |
| Own player | A new contract for a player already in the squad | Extension, First pro contract |
| Outgoing | A player leaving the squad | Transfer, Loan, Release |
Each direction has its own stages. A deal also has an owner, a chance (Likely, Uncertain or Unlikely), contact moments, next actions, terms and documents. When a deal is signed or completed, the squad is updated automatically. See Deals and pipeline.
The Recruitment overview
Recruitment & transfers → Overview shows the state of the transfer window at a glance:
- Transfer window: the selected window with its dates and a status such as Opens in 12 days, Closes in 5 days or Closed. The window that is currently open is selected by default, otherwise the next one. A selector at the top switches to another window.
- Budget: committed spend, spend in negotiation, what remains and net spend for the selected window. Only visible to roles with access to financial information.
- Squad rules: the rules that are at or over their limit, now or once the deals close to completion go through.
- Open deals by stage: per direction, how many open deals are in each stage, across all windows.
- Needs attention: open deals with an overdue action, an action due within 7 days, no contact logged in over 14 days, or no owner.
- Recent activity: the deals that changed most recently, with stage and owner.
New deal starts a deal from the overview. When the club has no deals and no windows yet, the overview shows the first steps instead: add a transfer window, then start a deal.
