Squad Depth
Build line-ups on a pitch, with a depth ladder per position, for the selected team and season.
Squad Depth shows the starting line-up on a pitch with a depth ladder per position next to it. A club can keep several line-ups per team and season.
The Football Director and the Coach can build and change line-ups. Other roles see them read-only. Salaries on this page are only shown to roles with access to financial information.
Line-ups
The header holds the controls for the selected team and season:

Every change is saved automatically; an indicator shows Saving…, Saved or Save failed. The last line-up opened is remembered on the device; otherwise the default line-up opens. The Depth by position tile on Club Overview uses the same line-up.
Without a line-up, the page shows No saved line-up yet and a New line-up button.
Formations
Available formations: 4-3-3 (the default), 4-2-3-1, 4-2-2-2, 4-2-4, 4-4-2 and 3-4-2-1.
Choosing another formation opens Change formation, which previews the effect before anything changes:
- Auto-mapped: starters that move to a matching position in the new formation
- Moves to Bench: starters without a matching position
Then choose Change Current Scenario, or Save as New Scenario ★ to keep the current line-up and create a new one in the new formation.
The pitch
Each position on the pitch shows the position label, the year the player's contract ends, the name, the season salary and the availability. A player without a contract covering the season is marked No contract.
Select an empty position to choose a starter. Select a filled position to open its action menu.
Position action menu
The menu shows the player's photo, position, availability and salary, followed by:
- Replace player: pick someone else for this position
- Open player profile
- Move to bench: out of the starting XI, stays in the depth ladders
- Remove from line-up: back to the unassigned players
Press Escape or click outside the menu to close it.
Choosing a player
The picker lists Not placed yet first, with the best positional fit at the top and Out of position where it applies. For a position on the pitch, a second group Placed elsewhere — moves them lists players who are already in the line-up; choosing one asks for confirmation with Move Player. A player has exactly one place in each line-up.
Depth ladders
The ladders cover eleven positions: GK, LB, LCB, RCB, RB, DM, CM, AM, LW, RW and ST. The number in front of each player shows the rank and the role:

Each row can also show the pitch position (for example a starter in another slot), No contract, the contract decision and the salary. The count next to the position shows available players against the total when someone is unavailable.
Use + next to a position to add a player who is not yet placed. The bin icon on a row removes the player from this line-up.
Drag and drop

A drop area appears under each ladder while dragging. On touch screens, press and hold briefly before dragging.
Unassigned players
Unassigned players lists everyone in the team's squad for the season, with or without a contract, who is not yet in the line-up. Expand it and drag a player onto a position or ladder.
Unavailable players
When players are Injured, in Rehab, on International duty or on Loan, an Unavailable strip appears above the pitch with their status and their place in the line-up. They keep that place but do not count as cover:
- On the pitch their card is faded and shows Next up with the first available player from that position's ladder, or No cover in the ladder.
- In the ladders they are greyed out with their status.
Availability is set on the player profile.
Presentation Mode
Presentation Mode hides salaries on the pitch, in the ladders and in the action menu, for showing line-ups in a meeting. The setting is remembered on the device.
