Negotiation and offers
Record every offer and counter-offer, agree the terms and track instalments and add-ons.
The Negotiation tab on a deal keeps the history of offers per track, and the Terms block holds what was agreed. The Offers screen shows where every open negotiation stands across all deals.
Offers, terms, instalments and add-ons contain amounts. They are only visible to roles with access to financial information: the Football Director and the CEO. Only the Football Director can change them. See Roles and permissions.
Offer rounds
Each offer or counter-offer is a round. Rounds belong to a track:
| Track | Fields | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Club terms | Transfer fee, Add-ons, Sell-on %, Loan fee (loan deals only) | Incoming and outgoing deals |
| Personal terms | Salary per year, Signing-on fee, Agent fee, Years | Incoming and own-player deals |
An incoming deal has both tracks, with a switch at the top of the Offers block. An own-player deal only has personal terms; an outgoing deal only has club terms.
Add a round
Select Add round and fill in:
- About: the track (incoming deals only)
- From: Us or Other club for club terms; Us, Player or Agent for personal terms
- Date and Status: Open, Accepted, Rejected, Countered or Withdrawn
- The amounts for the track
- Currency: empty uses the currency of the deal, or the club's currency
- Notes: conditions, what was asked, what was answered
When both sides have made an offer in the same currency, the block shows the gap on the fee (club terms) or on salary (personal terms) between the latest offers.
Use an accepted round as terms
On an accepted round, Use as terms copies its amounts into the deal's Terms. Fields the round leaves empty stay as they are.
Terms
The Terms block in the side column of the deal page holds the agreed amounts. Select Add or Edit to change them. Which fields appear depends on the direction and type of the deal:
| Field | Applies to |
|---|---|
| Transfer fee, Add-ons, Loan fee | Incoming and outgoing |
| Salary per year, Signing-on fee | Incoming and own player |
| Agent fee, with Agent fee paid by Club or Player | All deals |
| Sell-on % and Sell-on based on (Gross fee or Profit on the fee) | Incoming and outgoing |
| Buy-back clause and Buy-back until | Incoming and outgoing transfers |
| Option to buy (Option to buy, Obligation to buy or Conditional obligation), Purchase fee, Condition | Loans |
| Salary share we pay % | Loans |
| Notes | All deals |
Currency
Terms are recorded in the currency the deal is made in. When that differs from the club's currency, enter the conversion rate as well. The block then also shows the fee converted into the club's currency. Budgets and transfer totals use this converted amount.
When an incoming or own-player deal is signed, the salary and signing-on fee are added to the new contract. See Deals and pipeline.
Instalments and add-ons
For transfer and loan deals (incoming or outgoing), the Negotiation tab also has an Instalments and add-ons block.
- Instalments: add a due date and an amount with Add instalment. Tick an instalment when it is paid. If the instalments do not add up to the transfer fee in Terms, the block says so. No instalments means the fee is paid in one go, or not split up yet.
- Add-ons: choose a trigger (Appearances, Goals, Team success, International caps, Promotion or Other), describe the condition and enter the amount. Tick an add-on when it is triggered.
The Offers screen
Recruitment & transfers → Offers lists offers across all deals. It is only in the sidebar for roles with access to financial information.
At the top:
- Open negotiations: open deals with at least one offer
- Waiting on us: negotiations where the other side's latest offer is open
- Waiting on them: negotiations where the club's latest offer is open
Where each negotiation stands has one row per open deal and track, with Our latest, Their latest, the Gap and the Next move.
All offers lists every round with date, player, track, who made it, the offer and its status. Filter by direction, by status, or search by player or club. Selecting a row opens the deal on its Negotiation tab.
