Modules
The base platform every club has, the add-on modules, and what changes when a module is not active.
Agones consists of a base platform that every club has, plus add-on modules that a club can add to its plan. A module that is not active is not shown anywhere, and a module that is active is only visible to roles that can view it.
Base platform
Included in every plan and always on:
| Area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Club Overview and Decision Centre | Key figures, the squad matrix and the contract decisions that need attention |
| Squad Management, contracts and salaries | Players, their profiles, contracts, salaries and availability |
| Squad Depth | The line-up per formation with a depth ladder per position |
| Documents | The document vault, with access levels and an access log |
| Members and settings | Members and roles, teams and seasons, integrations, the activity log, plan and billing |
Add-on modules
| Module | What it adds | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Scouting | Every player scored on Hudl StatsBomb data, role profiles weighted to the club's game model, squad and targets in one ranking, and squad gaps with the best target to fill each one | Available |
| Recruitment & transfers | The deal pipeline, offers and terms, approvals and checklists, shortlists, outgoing players, contacts, squad rules and transfer windows | Available |
| Financial planning | Financial line-up, salary commitments and a contract overview, for planning wages across seasons | Coming soon |
| Contract management | Bonuses and add-ons, housing and other terms, and contracts read from the uploaded file | Coming soon |
Modules are added to a club's agreement by Agones. The club's current modules, with their status, are listed under Settings → Plan & billing; see Plan and billing.

When a module is not active
A module that is not part of the club's plan is removed from the whole app, not just from its own screens:
- Menu: the module's section disappears from the sidebar.
- Player profile: the module's tab is hidden, such as Scouting or Recruitment.
- Dashboard: tiles from the module are not shown on Club Overview, also not in Customize.
- Search: targets (Scouting) and deals (Recruitment & transfers) do not appear in search results.
- Notifications: without Recruitment & transfers there are no notifications about deals.
- Activity log: the module's filter and entries are hidden.
- What's new: release highlights about the module are not shown in the app.
Opening a module screen through a bookmark or a direct link shows a message that the module is not part of the plan, with a link to the plan.
Switching a module off never deletes anything. All data entered in the module is kept and is back exactly where it was when the module is switched on again.
Some base screens use data from a module. Documents belong to the base platform, for example, but linking a document to a deal is part of Recruitment & transfers. Those parts follow the module too.
Modules and roles
A member sees a module only when the club has it and the member's role can view it.
| Module | Roles that can view it | Roles that can edit in it |
|---|---|---|
| Scouting | Football Director, CEO, Owner / Board, Recruitment, Coach | Football Director, Recruitment |
| Recruitment & transfers | Football Director, CEO, Recruitment | Football Director, Recruitment |
Financial planning, once available, requires a role that can see salaries and contract amounts. Within Recruitment & transfers, offers and other amounts also require a role that can see salaries and contract amounts. The Recruitment role works on deals without seeing these figures.
When the club has a module but the member's role does not include it, the module is hidden in the same way. A direct link shows a message that the module is not part of the role, with the suggestion to ask the Football Director.
