Deal page

Everything about one deal on a single page, from contact moments to terms, actions and documents.

Every deal has its own page. Select a deal anywhere in Recruitment & transfers, in search or in a notification to open it. The work happens in the tabs on the left; the side column on the right always shows the key facts.

Header and stage bar

The header shows the player, the current stage and, when applicable, an Archived label. Below the name: direction, type, the other club, position, age and a link to the Player file.

  • Move to followed by the next stage moves the deal one step forward.
  • The stage bar below the header shows all stages of the direction. Select a stage to move the deal there directly.
  • A lost deal shows Fell through with the reason and the date.

The More actions menu (three dots) holds:

ActionWhat it does
Edit detailsOpens the deal details for editing
Mark as lostCloses the deal with a reason
ReopenReturns a lost, signed or completed deal to the pipeline
Archive / RestoreRemoves the deal from the pipeline without deleting anything; it can be restored from the player's file
Delete dealFor a deal created by mistake. Terms, contact moments and actions are deleted; documents stay with the player

To keep the history of a deal that did not go ahead, archive it or mark it as lost instead of deleting it. Moving a deal, signing it and reopening it work as described in Deals and pipeline.

A tab shows a count where relevant, and a dot when something waits on the club: an open offer from the other side, or a pending approval.

Activity timeline

The timeline combines contact moments with a record of what changed on the deal, newest first. Changes include starting the deal, stage moves, the chance and owner, terms, offers, people involved, approvals, checklist items, paid instalments and triggered add-ons. Changes to amounts only appear for roles with access to financial information.

Log a contact moment

Type in the field at the top of the timeline (Log a call, meeting or message), then choose:

  • With: Club, Agent, Player, Internal or Other
  • Channel: Call, Meeting, Email, Message or Other
  • Who (optional), and when it happened
  • Private: only the author and the Football Director can see it

Select Log, or press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac). Authors can edit their own contact moments; the Football Director can also delete those of others.

Side column

Deal

Chance (select a dot to change it), Owner, Team, Window, the linked Need from Shortlists, the Selling club or Buying club, the Agent with contact details, the Contract dates (or Loan until for an outgoing loan) and Notes.

Edit opens all of these fields. Contract until becomes the end date of the contract when the deal is signed. For an outgoing loan, Loan until is the date the player comes back; Outgoing uses it to follow the loan.

People involved

Agents and clubs linked to this deal from the Contacts register, with their role: Player's agent, Agent with mandate, Interested club, Counterparty club or Other. Add links an existing contact or creates a new one. For an interested club, the interest can be set to Enquiry, Interested, Offer made or Withdrawn. An agent without a license number shows No licence on file.

Terms

The agreed amounts for the deal. Only visible with access to financial information. See Negotiation and offers.

Next actions

A to-do list for the deal. Enter a title and an optional deadline, then add it; the action is assigned to the deal owner. Tick an action off when it is done; Show 2 done (with the actual number) reveals completed actions. Overdue actions are shown in red, and open actions also appear in the Decision Centre and under Needs attention on the overview.

Documents

The Documents tab is the same document library as on the player profile, limited to this deal. The Football Director can upload a file (or drag it onto the list); members preview and download documents according to their access level. A document uploaded here is linked to the deal and also appears in the player's file. Every view and download is logged. See Documents.
