Transfer window and budget
Set up transfer windows, give each one a budget and see what is committed, in negotiation and remaining.
A transfer window is the registration period that deals are worked towards. Each window can have a transfer budget and a wage budget, and the Recruitment overview shows how the deals in that window count against them.
Transfer windows
Windows are managed from Recruitment & transfers → Overview. Members with write access to recruitment (the Football Director and the Recruitment role) can add and edit them.
Add a window
Select Add transfer window (or Add window when one exists already).
Fill in the details
Enter a Name (for example Summer 2026/27), the Opens and Closes dates, and optional Notes such as the registration deadline or league rules. Each window name can only be used once.
Save
Select Add window. The window appears at the top of the overview.
Edit on the window changes its details. Delete in the edit window removes the window: its deals stay, without a window, and the budget for the window is deleted.
Window status
The overview shows the selected window with its dates and a status: Opens in a number of days, Closes in a number of days (highlighted from seven days before the deadline), Closes today or Closed. By default the overview shows the window that is open today, otherwise the next one, otherwise the most recent. The selector at the top of the overview switches to any other window.
A transfer window deadline within seven days also appears under Needs attention in Notifications.
Deals and windows
A new deal gets the current window by default. The window can be changed, or removed, under Edit details on the deal page. Budget figures only count deals linked to the window; the stage overview, Needs attention and Recent activity cover all open deals, with or without a window.
Budget
The budget is only visible to roles with access to financial information (the Football Director and the CEO). Only the Football Director can set it.
Select Set budget (or Edit budget) above the budget figures and enter, in the club's currency:
- Transfer budget: transfer and loan fees for incoming deals in this window
- Wage budget per year: annual salary that can be added, for signings and own-player contracts
Leave a field empty if there is no budget for it.
The budget figures
| Figure | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Committed | Transfer and loan fees of signed incoming deals in the window, with the number of deals. The annual wages of signed incoming and own-player deals are shown underneath. |
| In negotiation | The same amounts for incoming deals that are still open. Lost deals are not counted. |
| Remaining | Transfer budget minus committed minus in negotiation. Shown in red with Over the transfer budget when it drops below zero. The remaining wage budget is shown underneath when a wage budget is set. |
| Net spend | Committed spend minus the income from completed outgoing deals in the window. |
The figures use the Transfer fee and Loan fee from the deal's Terms, and the Salary per year for wages. Add-ons, sell-on percentages and agent fees are not included. A deal without terms counts as zero. See Negotiation and offers.
Each deal is recorded in its own currency. The figures convert every amount into the club's currency with the conversion rate stored on the deal's terms.
Elsewhere in the app
- When the club also has the Financial planning module, the Financial Planning page shows a Transfer budget card for the current window with Budget, Committed, In pipeline, Sales income and Remaining. It uses the same calculation as the overview.
- The Club Overview has a Transfer window tile with the days until the window opens or closes and, with access to financial information, the remaining budget.
For historical spend across seasons, see Transfers.
