Contacts

Keep one register of the agents, clubs and other contacts the club deals with in transfers.

Recruitment & transfers → Contacts is the club's register of agents, clubs and other people involved in transfers. Each contact shows the deals it is part of, so the history with an agent or a club is in one place.

The register

The table lists every contact with Name, Kind, Contact details, Country and the number of Deals. Above the table:

  • All, Agents, Clubs and Other filter by kind, each with a count.
  • The search field finds contacts by name or organization.
  • Show archived includes archived contacts.

Expand a row to see the contact's deals, with the role in each deal, the interest status for an interested club, the direction and the current stage. Open deals are listed first. Select a deal to open it. The expanded row also shows the contact's notes and, for an agent, the license details.

Add a contact

Select New contact

Only members with write access to recruitment see this button.

Choose the kind

Agent, Club or Other.

Fill in the details

Name, Organisation (the agency for an agent, a contact person or department for a club), Email, Phone, Country and Notes. For an agent, also the FIFA licence number and whether the agent is Registered with federation (Yes, No or Unknown).

Save

Select Add contact.

To change a contact, select the edit button on its row. Archive in the edit window removes a contact from the list without affecting its deals; Restore brings it back.

Contacts and deals

Contacts are linked to deals under People involved on the deal page, with a role such as Player's agent, Agent with mandate, Interested club or Counterparty club. See Deal page.

The register also fills itself:

  • A club or agent typed into a deal (when starting it or under Edit details) is linked automatically: to an existing contact with the same name, or to a new contact.
  • Renaming a contact, or changing who is linked, updates the club or agent name shown on the deal.
  • When a deal has more than one counterparty club or player's agent, the most recently linked one is shown on the deal.

This keeps one version of each club and agent across the pipeline, the deal pages and the transfer history.

License warning

An agent without a FIFA license number on file is a compliance risk. Agones warns about it but never blocks a deal:

  • In the register, the agent is marked No FIFA licence.
  • In the expanded row, the license reads as missing.
  • On a deal page, under People involved, the agent is marked No licence on file.
  • On Outgoing, an agent with a mandate is marked No licence.

If the agent is known not to be registered with the federation, that is highlighted as well. The incoming checklist includes Agent licence and representation verified as a reminder. See Approvals and checklists.

Access

Every role with access to Recruitment & transfers can view the register. Adding, editing and archiving contacts requires write access to recruitment: the Football Director and the Recruitment role. See Roles and permissions.
