Deals and pipeline

Start a deal, move it through its stages on the pipeline and sign or close it.

A deal follows one player from first interest to a signed contract or a completed departure. The pipeline shows every open deal by stage, so the recruitment team sees where each one stands.

Stages per direction

Each direction has its own stages, in this order:

DirectionStages
IncomingExploring → Club talks → Personal terms → Approval → Completion → Signed
Own playerExploring → Personal terms → Approval → Completion → Signed
OutgoingAvailable → Interest → Offer → Agreed → Completed

Lost is not a stage but an outcome: any open deal can be marked as lost.

Each deal also carries a chance, shown as a colored dot: Likely (green), Uncertain (amber) or Unlikely (red). An empty ring means Not assessed.

Start a deal

Open the New deal window

Select New deal on the Overview or the Pipeline. A deal can also be started from a shortlist (Start deal), from Outgoing (Put player on the market, Start extension) or from the Recruitment tab on a player profile.

Choose the direction and the player

Choose Incoming, Own player or Outgoing. For an incoming deal, search the club's targets, or select + New player to add a player by name, current club, position and date of birth. That player is created as a target, also when the club does not have Scouting. For an own player or an outgoing deal, search the squad.

Fill in the basics

Set the Type, Owner (the signed-in member by default), Team and Window (the current window by default), plus the Selling club or Buying club and the Agent if known.

Start the deal

Select Start deal. The deal starts in the first stage of its direction and the deal page opens to add the rest.

A club or agent typed into a deal is linked to the Contacts register automatically: an existing contact with the same name, or a new one. The direction of a deal cannot be changed after it is created.

The pipeline

Recruitment & transfers → Pipeline shows one direction at a time. The tabs at the top switch between Incoming, Own player and Outgoing, each with its number of open deals.

One column per stage, plus Lost. Each card shows the player, the chance, the next action with its due date (in red when overdue), the owner, and the days since the last contact or the days in the current stage. More than 14 days without contact is highlighted.

Drag a card to another column to change its stage. Dragging requires write access to recruitment.

Filters narrow both views: search by player, club or agent, filter by owner or window, and Show closed to include signed, completed and lost deals. Without that filter, a signed or completed deal stays visible in its column for a week.

Lost deals

Moving a deal to Lost asks why it fell through: Transfer fee, Salary, Agent, Medical, Player declined, Another club, Club decision or Other. The reason is shown on the deal page. More context belongs in a contact moment.

A lost deal can be reopened from the deal page; the reason and close date are then cleared.

Signing and completing

Moving a deal to Signed or Completed asks for confirmation first, because the squad is updated at the same time. If checklist items are still open (the medical is named separately) or approvals are pending or rejected, the confirmation says so. Signing is still possible. See Approvals and checklists.

DealWhat happens to the squad
Incoming, signedThe player becomes Active (or Loaned In for a loan), is added to the deal's team for the season and gets a contract with the dates from the deal. With financial terms recorded, the salary and signing-on fee are added to the contract.
Own player, signedA new contract with the dates and salary from the deal is added to the player's file.
Outgoing transfer, completedThe player is marked Sold, team assignments end and the current contract is terminated.
Outgoing release, completedThe same, with the player marked Released.
Outgoing loan, completedThe player is marked Loaned Out.

A contract is only created when the deal has a Contract until date. See Contracts and salaries.

If a target becomes part of the squad another way, for example by a status change on the player, an open incoming deal for that player moves to Signed.

Reopening a signed or completed deal moves it back into the pipeline but does not undo changes already made to the squad. Status, team and contract stay as they are.

Signed and completed incoming and outgoing deals form the club's transfer history. See Transfers.
