Members
Invite colleagues, assign roles, and deactivate or remove access to the club.
Members lists everyone with access to the club, with each member's role and last sign-in. Every member can open the list; only the Football Director can invite members or change roles and access.
Open it from Administration → Members in the sidebar.
The members list
| Column | Details |
|---|---|
| Member | Name and email address. Deactivated members are greyed out and marked Deactivated. |
| Role | One of the six roles. See Roles and permissions. |
| Last active | When the member last signed in, such as "2 hours ago" or a date. Members who have never signed in show Invitation pending. |
The signed-in member is listed first, then active members, then deactivated members, each in alphabetical order. Use Search by name or email and the role filter to narrow the list. The count above the table shows the number of members and any invitations still pending.
On narrow screens the Last active column is hidden.
Invite a member
Open the invitation
Click Invite member at the top right.
Fill in the details
Enter the Email address and, optionally, a Name. Choose a Role; each role shows a short description of what it can see and change.
Send
Click Send invitation. The colleague receives an email with a link to set a password, and appears in the list with Invitation pending until the first sign-in.
If the email address already has an Agones account, for example at another club, the person is added to the club straight away without a new invitation. An existing name on that account is kept.
Change a role
Click the role of an active member to open the list of roles, then choose the new one. The change applies immediately.
Actions per member
The menu at the end of each row holds the less frequent actions.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Resend invitation | Sends the invitation link again to a member who has not signed in yet. |
| Send password reset | Sends a link to choose a new password to a member who has signed in before. |
| Deactivate | Blocks the member from signing in to this club. Asks for confirmation. The member stays in the list and can be reactivated at any time. |
| Reactivate | Restores access for a deactivated member, with the same role. |
| Remove from club | Removes access immediately. Asks for confirmation. To give access back, the person has to be invited again. |
Removing a member from the club does not delete the person's account. The person's name stays on earlier changes, so the Activity log remains readable.
Guardrails
Two rules protect the club from locking itself out.
- At least one active Football Director. A role change, deactivation or removal that would leave the club without an active Football Director is refused with a message.
- No changes to the signed-in account. The role, access and membership of the account that is signed in cannot be changed from that account. Another Football Director has to make the change.
To hand over the Football Director role, first give a colleague the Football Director role. That colleague can then change the previous director's role.
Members without the Football Director role
Other roles see the same list, with roles and last activity, but without Invite member, the role menu or the row actions. The page notes that only the Football Director can invite or change members.
Each member's own role and what it includes are shown under My Account → Club & access. See My Account.
Changes are logged
Role changes, deactivations and removals are recorded in the activity log under Members & roles, with who made the change and when. Only the Football Director can read these entries.
