Activity log
Every change in the club with the old and new value, who made it and when, and who can read which entries.
The activity log records every change to players, contracts, salaries, deals, documents, team assignments and roles: who made it, when, and what the value was before. Entries cannot be edited or removed.
The club-wide log is under Settings → Activity log and is available to the Football Director. Every member can see the changes to a single player on the History tab of the player profile.
What is recorded
Each entry shows:
- Who: the member who made the change. Changes made by a sync with Hudl StatsBomb or TransferRoom, or by Agones itself, show as Agones. A member who has left the club shows as a former staff member.
- What: whether something was added, changed or removed, and what it was, such as the contract, a season's salary, a deal or a document. In the club-wide log, the player concerned is linked.
- When: how long ago; hover over the time for the exact date and time.
- The values: for a change, each field with the old value struck through and the new value next to it. An empty field shows as "empty". For something added or removed, the first fields are shown, with a link to show the rest.
A few fields, such as a photo or a linked record, only show that they changed, not the value.
What is covered
| Area | Examples |
|---|---|
| Players | Profile details, availability, team assignments per season |
| Contracts & salary | Contract terms and dates, salary per season |
| Recruitment | Deals, terms, offers, instalments, add-ons, approvals, checklists, actions, shortlists, needs, transfer windows and budgets, squad rules |
| Documents | Document details such as title and access level; not the file itself |
| Members & roles | Roles, activation and removal of members |
Opening or downloading a document is recorded separately, in the document's access log. See Documents.
Recording started in October 2026. Changes made before then are not in the log.
Who can read what
The log follows the permissions of the data itself. A member only sees an entry when the member's role may see the data that changed:
| Entry | Who can read it |
|---|---|
| Changes to salaries and contract amounts | Roles that can see salaries and contract amounts |
| Recruitment changes | Roles that can view Recruitment & transfers, while the club has the module; amounts also need access to salaries and contract amounts |
| Document changes | Roles that can open the document's access level; when the level changed, the stricter of the old and new level applies |
| Changes to members and roles | Football Director only |
| Other player changes | Every role |
A Coach, for example, sees on the History tab that a player's profile changed, but not a salary change.
Use the club-wide log
Open the log
Go to Settings → Activity log. The tile only appears for the Football Director.
Filter by area
Choose Everything, Players, Contracts & salary, Recruitment, Documents or Members & roles. Recruitment only appears when the club has Recruitment & transfers.
Read and go further back
Entries are grouped by day, newest first. Click a player's name to open the profile, and Load older changes at the bottom to see earlier entries.
The History tab
Every player profile has a History tab with the same timeline for that player only: profile changes, contracts and salaries, team assignments, deals and documents linked to the player. It follows the same permissions as the club-wide log, so each role sees the history it is allowed to see. See Player profile.
Activity log and notifications
The activity log is the complete record of changes. Notifications show only what concerns the signed-in member, such as a deal the member owns or an action assigned to the member. The Football Director can open the full log from the notifications page with Full activity log.
