Scouting
Score players against the club's own role profiles, track targets and find gaps in the squad.
The Scouting module scores every player against a role profile, using Hudl StatsBomb data and the club's own judgement. The same scores rank the squad, compare it with targets from other clubs and show where the squad is thin.
Scouting is a module. It only appears when it is part of the club's plan, and only for roles with scouting access. When the module is not active, nothing of it is shown anywhere: no menu items, no Scouting tab, no dashboard tiles and no targets in search. See Modules and Roles and permissions.
What the module does
- Role profiles. Each profile describes a role, such as Duel Hunter or Touchline Winger, with up to eight metrics, a target and a weight for each, and an ideal age range. Standard profiles are included; a club can create its own.
- Scores. A player gets an overall score in their role, a squad status (for example Rotation or Elite Core) and a flag such as Undervalued or Priority.
- Targets. Players from other clubs are kept on a separate list, scored in exactly the same way as the squad and never part of it.
- Squad gaps. Per profile, the average score of the squad shows where to upgrade, where to develop and where depth is strong.
- Automatic updates. With Hudl StatsBomb connected, new match data is picked up every night and the affected scores are recalculated.

The Football Director and the Recruitment role can change profiles, assign roles, enter values and manage targets. The CEO, Owner / Board and Coach can view scouting without making changes. The Medical role has no access to scouting.
Getting started
Connect Hudl StatsBomb
Connect the integration under Settings → Integrations so that metric values and minutes come in automatically. See Integrations.
Choose the profiles
Review the standard profiles under Scouting → Profiles, and create club profiles where the club's view of a role differs.
Assign a role to each player
Give each squad player a main profile, either on the Scouting tab of their player profile or with Assign roles on Scouting → Overview.
Add targets
Add players from other clubs under Scouting → Targets and give each of them a profile.
