A refreshed interface, six roles and a secure document library

A refreshed interface, six roles and a secure document library

One design system across every screen, roles with clear permissions, a document library with access levels, a redesigned player profile with notes, and a log of every change.

A refreshed interface

Every screen now uses one shared set of building blocks for buttons, fields, tables, tabs and status labels.

  • Typography: Inter throughout, with tabular figures for numbers and amounts.
  • Sidebar: open by default with labels, collapsible to an icon bar that expands on hover without shifting the page.
  • Top bar: team and season as a breadcrumb, global search with ⌘K (or Ctrl K), notifications and the account menu.
  • Content: a single panel on a neutral canvas with its own scroll area.
  • Status labels in sentence case with a subtle tint, consistent across all screens.
  • Amounts in the club's currency and number format everywhere.

Light and dark mode and narrow screens are supported throughout. The club color remains the accent for primary actions, active states and focus.

Six roles with clear permissions

Members have one of six roles, each with a fixed set of permissions: for example whether salaries and contract amounts are visible, whether only totals are visible, or whether squad depth and player availability can be edited. Every screen follows the same permissions, and so does the data behind it. See Roles and permissions.

Base platform and modules

The platform is organized as a base that every club has, plus modules. The base covers Club Overview, the Decision Centre, the squad with contracts and salaries, Squad Depth, documents, members and settings. Scouting and Recruitment & transfers are modules.

A module that is not part of the plan does not appear anywhere: no menu item, no tab in the player profile, no tile on the dashboard and no search result. Its data is kept, so everything is back in place when the module is switched on again.

Document library

  • All documents in one library under Documents: player documents as well as club documents such as internal policies and reports.
  • Each document has an access level (Standard, Financial, Confidential, Medical) that determines which roles can open it.
  • Every view and download is logged.
  • PDFs and images open inside Agones; other file types download with their original name.
  • Expiry dates are tracked, with a filter for documents that are about to expire.

Player profile and notes

  • A redesigned header with photo, position, age, team and squad number, and availability.
  • Key figures at a glance: age, contract end with time remaining, value with its source and, with Scouting, the score in the primary role.
  • Notes: a timeline where staff post notes about a player, showing who wrote what and when.
  • Value: the club's own value when it is set, otherwise the expected transfer value from TransferRoom, always with its source.
  • Team assignments in one line, managed in a side panel.

Activity log

Changes to players, contracts, salaries, documents, team assignments and members are recorded with the old and new value, who made the change and when. The Football Director reviews the log under Settings. What a member can see in the log follows the same permissions as the data itself.

Improvements

  • Availability: Rehab, International and Loan are full statuses next to Available and Injured.
  • Squad Depth: unavailable players appear in a separate strip, with who covers their position.
  • Sidebar: sections can be collapsed individually.
  • Scouting: targets can be deleted, and the standard profiles can be collapsed so the club's own profiles stand out.
  • Documents: a redesigned library layout, in the style of common file tools.
  • Hudl StatsBomb: data is only shown while the integration is active.

Fixes

  • Documents opened on an external storage address instead of inside Agones.
